I just got a survey about a recent store pickup where I was made to wait 20 minutes at the counter for multiple employees to retrieve my order from the computer system. I did not receive a discount on the order, even though their “Your order is ready” email had this guarantee:
Store Pickup Guarantee
We’ll have your order ready in 1 minute (5 minutes for larger items) after you present this email or you get $10 off.
Needless to say, I’m giving them bad marks on the survey. I wish I didn’t have to use store pickup to ensure fair prices anyway, but that’s just the way Best Buy works. Here’s my reply to the question “At the time you made the purchase, why did you choose store pickup instead of having the product(s) shipped?”
Your in-store prices are frequently higher than those listed on the web site, even thought the site does not specify a “web only” price. I feel that this is deceptive, but I prefer not to fight with cashiers over the price (which I have had to do multiple times). Instead, I order online for pickup to avoid your bait-and-switch.
